May the 4th has come and gone, was there force with you? well the force is strong in this blog!

A year ago I received the Star Wars Trilogy, it took me 6 months and one boring Sunday to watch them, the first movie almost made me sleep rather, due to the way it looked...soooo old, but the second movie just got me hooked, i am proud to say i have now watched all 4 of them, yes all Four.

But if you thought I will be writing about how much i enjoyed Star Wars, then welcome to this blog, where things are not as you would expect them to be.

Have you ever thought where or how the idea came about to make all these awesome tech that we currently enjoying( like the one you reading this post on). It dates back many moons ago when the Jedi lived in peace without Darth-Vader's destruction....joking... The ideas have been there, but during those days there were no means and resources to create these awesome tech, it took them around 21 centuries to be able to form these ideas into reality.

Most of the trends currently ongoing, if not all, have been thought of many years ago. With that in mind, below is the latest Tech and its origin, as well as how its portrayed in Star wars

When you think Solar panels, what do you think? Ilon Musk? No..

.
The demand for Solar panels has increased substantially, especially during the 2015-2016 period. This is mostly because after a long period, producers of such products have managed to make it way cheap to use solar panels than normal coal generated electricity. Companies such as Solar City and thousand more(Mostly Chinese) have made it even more desirable to use this source of energy at the lowest price. I wont go into details about the advantage this has on the planet, I am sure we all know. If this type of product only became so popular only now, does that mean it is only recently discovered?

This idea of using the sun as a form of energy dates back to as early as 7th century B.C, The first time this form of energy was used was make fire,by concentrating the mirror to the sun and the wood you want to burn, from thereon it got even more sophisticated and simplistic( Economical). The Greeks used the same method to light their torches in there  3rd century B.C, this got even better, with the Justinian era implementing this to houses, having a glass roof to let in the sun's warmth  and then the scientists came in and did their magic from 1767 to present.

This tech doesn't appear as much in the Star Wars movie. It was however used by the TIE Fighers, they used it in the TIE Bomber space vehicle. In Star Wars Attack of the clones, we see this product used by Count Dooku.

Lasers
Image result for star wars lasersThe complicated definition of Laser is : A device that emits light through a process of optical amplification based on the stimulated emission of electromagnetic radiation (Don't ask me what that means, I also don't know)
The first ever laser to be built was in 1960 by good-guy Theodore H. Maiman (Call him THM) and good-guy Arthur  Leonard Schawlow (ALS).
Now you asking where do we use Lasers in this modern days (No?)
Well they are used in Lunar laser ranging, Photo-chemistry, laser scanner, Nuclear fusion and other Military products.

Lasers appeared in the Star Wars movies as weapons mounted on starships, such as the Millenium Falcon, however they need to be charged.
According to my trusted source( Wikipedia) researchers  in Poland, partnering with the faculty of Physics  at the University of Warsaw,  have claimed that they have developed lasers in bolted form and caught on camera . While this is just a claim, the American Air Force Research Laboratory is currently working on long-term developments of aerial laser weapons. Don't believe me? Ask uncle Wikipedia he knows

Force fields are the most awesome phenomena which haven't been developed yet(I hope), but they nevertheless appear in the Star Wars Phantom Menace, and the Clone Wars.
According to my trusted source, in 2014, physics students at the University of Leicester developed a module of plasma based deflector shield which was inspired by...yes..Star Wars.
then in 2015 the American plane-maker, Boeing built a plasma-based force-field that similar in size and dimension to the force-field in Star Wars, however it did not repel any solid matter, it only worked as a vehicle protection  from the force of explosions.

Cloning and generic engineering is also placed in light in these movies.
This is currently taking place, but one requires an unfertilized egg from a female donor and have its nucleus removed, resulting in an nucleated egg, this process is called Somatic cell nuclear Transfer( SCNT)

there's a bunch of tech Star Wars and many awesome old school movies portrayed and being developed, these however is just a few that I could talk about.

Speaking of Awesome movies below is...

Till next time!
