What to look forward to in the Smartphone segment if you going shopping

Just when you thought tech couldn't get any better, March came and well wowed everyone with another wave of  high tech Smartphones. The Mobile World Congress 2017 has seen the introduction of Nokia's new product line, Huawei reaching a double digit on their existing product line and the come back of both the Mottorala and LG smatphones.

We start off with the new Huawei P10, you would've seen not so long ago the P9 was introduced to the market, it packed a top of the range tech and was a direct competitor of the Samsung s7 and the iPhone 7, but was Huawei satisfied with that....no, they instead decided to improve an excellent machine.

As you can see the phone is beyond perfect. It is apparent from the look of things that the smartphone market has surpassed that stage of merely supplying the ordinary consumer, in fact they have moved on to serve professionals and well the high-end consumer. I mean 8gig of RAM is just madness, even a 4gig Ram is more than sufficient to an ordinary consumer.

This phone is most definitely for selfie and photo lovers, the camera technology on this beast is amazing with dual 20 MP + 12 MP, 12 MP, f/2.2, OIS, Leica optics, phase detection and laser artificial, dual-LED (Dual Tone) flash, but not the fastest Huawei. The Huawei Mate 9 and P10 are relatively similar, but the Mate flagship is given a little more boost in terms of the screen and memory to improve performance
Don't get that excited yet, the P10 was only announced in February, and only entering the market in March, so you might get it in May-June , but if you can't wait, toy might as well get the Huawei Mate 9, quiet similar to the P10.

Nokia has made a come back after its struggling Lumia product line, in this month they introduced the Nokia 3, 5 and 6;And yes they are using Android. It seems as if Nokia has moved away from the windows operating software to the popular Android Nougat. The high end Nokia 6 packs 32gb of storage and a 3gb of memory, this is reasonably fast, but not as competitive as the P10 or the s7.the camera packs 16 MP,f/2.0, face detection autofocus, dual LED, panarama etc. It's a good phone. But I don't think it's a game changer for the market out there, but maybe for the company itself, since it's going through all these change in ownership and strategy changes.

Now how can I talk about Nokia without talking about the comeback of the Nokia 3310. This is a classic phone best known for its long-lasting battery and game called snake. The new Nokia 3310 has been modernised, in that ,they added a camera and colour display, it can now play music and videos, as much of these changes the phone still remains faithful to its original look.

The Asus Zenfone AR is one of the first smartphone to make a huge mark on the market with its revolutionary camera tech.

This beast boasts Tango and daydream, these are fairly new concepts, they allow you to experience VR and entering with your surrounding by identifying objects and all sorts of things. This is a high -end smartphone as it packs 8gb of RAM and 128gb of memory, with expandable memory of up to 256gb. The screen is bright and colourful with super AMOLED captivity touchscreen. The rear primary camera is a 23 MP camera, with a secondary camera next to it as well as 2 depth and motion detection sensors as well as a flash, it is beautiful and well it can shoot 4K videos with such a camera configuration, hence it might compete with traditional tech used to take pictures .

This phone however is very expensive and hasn't been widely available in SA yet. If you didn't get any of those things I said above, just know this is a perfect Android phone for those that have cash and  love taking pictures and doing everything else fast, this is a phone for you.

In conclusion some of these phones can be costly whilst others may be affordable, this review is merely on the performance and look of the phones , if you want reasonably priced phones that are close to these phones you have a range of choices, such as the Huawei P9,P8, Sony Experia M5Aqua , Samsung S6, the Google phone and some of the One plus smartphones.
