Tech in events

Having spent hours and hours at the Joy of Jazz event at the Sandton Convention centre, it became clear that buying tickets could be a hustle.
Most events like this one, they do not sell tickets at the event sight itself, the only place to buy them is either Shoprite or Checkers; But there's an alternative: BUY ONLINE

Computicket has an online system of purchasing tickets, this system requires a customer to create an account and then purchase using your credit card. You can either print them at home or you can print them at one of Computicket's on-sight stalls.

For many people this seems like a hustle or time consuming, but to knowledgeable smartphone users, you realize that buying or booking a ticket is one click away. I am not saying it is a new thing, No, in fact it has been going on for quite some time. This trend is fairly new to many people, at first it will seem weird, but do not worry or flake, try it out and make those mistakes, at the end of the day you learnt something new.

So now you have bought your ticket with your iPhone 6 or Samsung s7 and have went to the Computicket stall and got your ticket, you even went through the verification and security on the event sight, what now. Now you need to enjoy the event, but theres still something missing....

1 out of 3 times you go to an event, you will get drunk, since alcohol has become the means to enjoy an event. There's 3 options:

1 Like Sandton Convention Centre Architects, the building is built next to a hotel and mall, these are connected with an enclosed bridge. A good idea if you have money and want the best experience, is to stay at the nearest hotel, or the hotel connecting to the Building where the event is taking place. In this case you wont mind spending R3500 a night. With everything just a few centimetres away all the hustle is removed and you ready to get drunk and enjoy yourself, but make sure you do not talk a lot.

2  With your smartphone you can pre-book an Uber so that you don't have to drive. Uber has changed private taxi industry. This company has taken advantage of large scale tech and used to optimise costs. So when you drunk you can safely lay at the back seat and be taken home. At the end of the day you enjoyed yourself even though you paid a bit extra.

3 You could drive to the event and not drink and instead enjoy the show sober, have a great time with friends and after the event go home with friends then drink. My point is Tech makes it convenient to enjoy yourself
