This phenomenon has widely grown in the middle and lower income earners, Buying phones on contract.
Mobile Network Operator Telkom Vodacom MTN Cell CNetwork providers such as CellC,MTN,Vodacom and Telkom mobile are rolling out great packages in terms of contracts. These contracts range from a year or two years. The package is very attractive, the majority includes a Cellphone, data, free minutes -talk -time and airtime.

As great as this sounds we need to also look at other alternatives. Buying a phone on cash

I think we can all agree that buying the latest smartphones such as the Iphone 6, Sumsung S7 and the Sony Experia range, is financial suicide unless of course you are a higher income earner who wouldn't mind buying a R15000 cellphone cash.  Even the most low cost smartphones like the Huawei Ascend, Sumsung Galaxy S4 mini and the Nokia Lumia 520 are not that lowcost since they all in the price range of R2000-R3000, or maybe low cost for middle income earners. So.....it seems obvious that a cellphone contract is the way to go right?

Well no...not necessarily. Catch the other
